U.S. Forces Shoot Dead Reuters Employee, Violently Arrest and Keep Rest

Almost 6 hours ago, American forces attacked a press convoy reaching the scene of a fire fight between Iraqi police and insurgents. One member was shot once in the face and four times in the chest while another was shot and wounded. Despite having revealed themselves as Reuters, the convoy was arrested "treated like dogs" in the words of one of those taken into custody and would not be released despite a request by Reuters to release them immediatley. It is not uncommon for U.S. forces to attack the press, expecially in times where certain acts by U.S. forces and their Iraqi police (i.e. house to house searches etc) may provide some unfavorable PR for the war. This comes in light of Sunnis shunning the constitution that had been passed as a referandum, Bush's 36% approval rating, mounting US casualties and rise in insrugency attacks throughout the country.
